I have recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s Diesease and I’m still finding the right medications. I have slowly come off Steroids and have upped my dosage on mercaptopurine tablets (also known as 6-MP). I have noticed that my hair is starting to fall out alot more (than what is usually natural for me). Does anyone know if my hair loss could be assoicated with Crohn’s Disease or the medication I’m on? Thanks.

I have Alopecia Arieta and was wondering if there was a treatment that anyone else has found to be succesful? I haven’t tried any yet but have looked into several. I would say about 1x out of every 4 times I go out to eat, I find hair. Everyone I go out with just waits for me to find it. It has become a running joke over the years. I have been told several times it is just because I have good eyesite and everyone else is probably just eating the hair without seeing it.

I have gotten to the point that I no longer send it back. I just leave the food. What do you do?

My friend’s mother is suffering from alopecia and is really struggling to treat it. Her mother wheres hats, wigs to cover it. Her mothers confidence has gone down dramatically. I have curly hair not to curly but cork screw curly once it gets a bout 2 1/2 or 3 inches. My hair for some reason grows slower on the center of my head and the alittle towards the back. The sides grow way faster the the top. My hair line has not been receading and I am not losing hair when I take a shower just alittle once or twice a week. I don’t have hair on my pillow or anything and my hair does seem strong. I don’t know if it is an optical illusion or any thing but my hair does seem to be getting thin from the center and and back. I don’t have relatives or any one in my family with male pattern baldness. If I am going through male pattern baldness what can I do to prevent it or a product I can use to slow it down or stop it. By the way I am a healthy 22 year old male and very worried about losing my hair plus I had multiple dreams of losing my hair but I am the type to worry about things like that. I mean, yes, hair is not supposed to be eaten, but I think that there are many more things to be worried about what is in our food than hair! I just don’t understand why people get so upset about it. If they knew everything that happened to their food before they got it they would probably be concerned with many other things, and this stray one little hair would be the least of their worries, don’t you think?
