I just found out my sister has alopecia and I started crying and I can’t get over the fact that it’s happening to her especially since it’s uncurable. Am I over reacting by crying and worrrying a lot?
alopecia is when you start to lose hair and create bald spots.. it happens because your immune system is attacking the hair follicles but there’s not really a specific reason on what causes it.

I was recently diagnosed with central centrifugal scarring alopecia and my current insurance does not cover it. Does anyone know of a good insurance company that might cover my condition?

Can anyone suggest the best haircut for someone with alopecia areata and thin hair? I have long hair(past my shoulders) and I want an updated look. Just need a hairstyle that will look good and cover any bald spots I will get.

all i know is that chunks of hair fall out and that it can grow back, it stressing him out. he normly a confident guy but hes totally changed because of it. is there anything that can be done to help.

I started losing my hair when i was 17.. at 19 I had to shave the rest off because it was so bad. I’m 24 now, and I still have no hair, Eyebrows, arm hair.. I have some growth, but nothing to get excited about. Since its been this long I’m sure, it will never grow back…but maybe theres something new? Im still young and I’m a woman.. I have a baby of my own now and It just kills my self esteem. Someone once told me there was a pill out there that could help? any one know of anything? Please dont say wigs.. i obviously know that already.
