I just found out my sister has alopecia and I started crying and I can’t get over the fact that it’s happening to her especially since it’s uncurable. Am I over reacting by crying and worrrying a lot?
alopecia is when you start to lose hair and create bald spots.. it happens because your immune system is attacking the hair follicles but there’s not really a specific reason on what causes it.

i suffer from androgenetic alopecia , in other words… i loose my hair due to genetic predisposition , my father is bald , i am getting bald quickly , how can i resist that in cheap easysimple way

I have been prescribed Daktacort for Alopecia which has occurred on my facial hair. Will Daktacort be effective as I heard Daktacort is for sweat rashes.

I was taking Imuran but i stopped it…i am still taking Pentasa for my Crohn’s disease….i have had hair loss…and thinning…which medicine was the culprit? Imuran states that hair loss is a definite side effect…pentasa says that less then 1% experience alopecia….but also i have experienced acne and that is a result of the pentasa as well….so please help me figure this out…thank you

I was wondering does any one know if its because of the alopecia areata?.Maybe a symptom Its been sore in the past, before I was diagnosed wit Alopecia Areata, but that was because I use to always wear pony tails, I haven’t wore a pony in a while. I’am 20 years old now and was diagnoised with Juvenile Alopecia when I was 12. Its been a constant battle with it still today. The doctors said it was because of stress but nothing has changed. All my hair grew back except the top its always thin and really short and my hair goes past my shoulders. Is there any kind of help to grow hair?

It has already but her hair is falling out again. She is having difficulty dealing with going to school. the kids aren’t teasing her but she is very self conscience & often cries. I was recently diagnosed with Alopecia from taking blood pressure meds for so long after having heart surgery. I normally kept my hair in short cuts but let it grow out to hide the bald spotting in areas. In doing my research I have not found anything to help with the loss. The alopecia mainly affects my beard and facial hair along with bald patches throughout my scalp. I have a topical steriod that I need to apply once or twice a day and that will help on my scalp, after about six months. Is there a more effective way to tackle the patches on my face and head that anyone knows of? What about for my face specifically since I do respond to the steroid on my head? Anyone here know anyone who has alopecia that got married or has a good girlfriend/boyfriend. Alopecia is something I’ve had since 4 years old and while some people don’t even know it’s something I can be insecure about. For those that don’t know what it is, it’s hair loss. I’m just curious if anyone knows anyone with this and how they hold up with it? Do they have a girlfriend? Are they married? Do they have kids?
