I heard that you can dye your hair with food colouring, I have dark brown hair, and I wanna dye it red, but I know if I do, it’s temporary, I just want red hair for a few days(: help?

I have dark brown hair and I’m gonna dye my hair purple with food coloring? how long should i wait for it to set in? I’ve read i should wait 12 hours, but i read 5, or 3, or 3 days?!
How long should i wait?

Anybody here have female pattern baldness? What have you noticed about your hair loss? If I have dark brown hair and I bleech and tone my hair white blonde, will my hair fall out a lot? What will happen?

I was on youtube and came across a video of someone dyeing their hair with food colouring[god knows how!]. Anyway, reason I’m asking is that the person in the vid was blonde, however i have dark brown hair so would it work for me, or would you not be able to tell that I’d done it?
btw, I don’t want to dye all my hair, just a couple of streaks/coontails at the front. In like purple, blue, hot pink or red.
I dont want to bleach it or do anything permanent. Im aware that it would come out quickly-thats the point! I just want to see how it would look before getting anything that will last.:)
